Out of her old life, out of her secure job and into the heart of Hamburg’s neighbourhood.
Ina Bredehorn aka DEINE COUSINE is now fully focussed on music – which is absolutely the right thing to do!
Her breakthrough came in 2014 when she won Udo Lindenberg’s ‘Panic Prize’ in the newcomer band category. A lot has happened since then. She is an integral part of Udo’s live band, part of the ‘MTV Unplugged II’ album, presented a strong album debut in 2019 with ‘Attacke’ and reached a remarkable 12th place in the charts in 2022 with the follow up ‘Ich bleib nicht hier’.

The ‘rabble-rousing favourite cousin you go out with’ is also a remarkable artist with a good feel for the message between the lines. One with the courage to always go one step further – and to give others the same courage:
‘If a girl somewhere walks through the night with my songs in her ear and sings “Girls just wanna have fun” loudly and with her middle finger outstretched, then I know I’ve done everything right!’

She definitely did! Especially live, when her energy is exploded into a rousing stage presence, like at the festivals Wacken, Open Flair, Deichbrand or, finally in 2024, Hurricane and Southside. DEINE COUSINE impressed as support for Die Toten Hosen and Fury in the Slaughterhouse and celebrated with their fans on their headlining tours, such as the almost sold-out one in April 2024.

It continues non-stop: ‘Allez, allez’, the first pre-release single for the new album ‘Freaks’, which will be released on 9 May 2025, was released in mid-October.
